It all began around December of 2010.  It was during that time that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber had stirred up much speculation that the two of them were dating. Both of them had been photographed walking together arm in arm after having a nice breakfast together in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

In the beginning the two laughed off any idea of having a romance together.  But people found it hard to believe when they were spotted having a nice breakfast together at the International House of Pancakes.  People who saw them having breakfast together said they were being awfully cuddly and even holding hands during their time together.

Selena Gomez Is “Head Over Heels” For Jusin Bieber

Selena Gomez had an in-depth interview with Cosmopolitan magazine. During the interview she talks about how she felt like she had wasted a bunch of her time that she had spent with other boys before meeting Justin. She said, “it was like a year of my life completely wasted,” in describing one of the unidentified ex-boyfriends that she used to date. The question is, what makes her think Justin is so special? Is it the lavish trips around the world?

Selena talks about Justin Bieber as having the same philosophy as she does. They just want to be as normal as possible and live life to the fullest. They want to be able to do things that normal people would do like going to the movies and hanging out.  It’s apparent that he certainly makes her pretty happy!

Selena also talks about the importance of the relationships in her life.  She looks to friends, family and her relationship with Justin as something that help to keep her centered.  Part of having these kinds of relationships is her way of living a fun and fulfilled life.

Before dating Justin Bieber, Selena dated a few other popular guys such as Taylor Lautner and Nick Jonas.  She talks about the fact that she definitely wasted her time with one of them though she won’t say which one it is.  One of the things she really likes about Justin is that he is a lot less high maintenance and privacy obsessed than one of her other past boyfriends (a lot of people figure she is referring to Nick).

She goes on to describe that in one of her previous relationships she always had to feel like she had to hide everything. This was something she said she never had a choice about. She had to do all sorts of crazy thing she didn’t like such as take separate exits and use separate cars and all sorts of crazy things. In the end she said, it really wasn’t worth it and again she emphasized that it was like a year of her life was completely wasted.

What do Selena’s parents think about Selena and Justin dating?

It depends on who you ask, but if you believe the National Enquirer than they are pretty unhappy. According to this particular publication her parents are described as being furious at Justin Bieber because she is now wearing her purity ring a lot less. This all started when she began dating Bieber.

It sounds like her parents think very highly of Justin Bieber and they certainly aren’t opposed to the idea of them being together and even dating. But it sounds like they also have conservative values and don’t want her to do anything with him that she later regret.

Just to be on the safe side Selena’s family is having her entourage keep them informed about when and where she is spending time with Justin. Of course Selena really hates being spied on and so this makes her relationship with her parents and family more stressful.

What Do Others Think About Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Dating?

At first, a lot of people were concerned about their differing ages. With one being 19 and the other being 17, it means one of them is underage. Also some people just think there too young to really be that serious about each other. But fans everywhere seem to be showing their support of the young couple. Some even say they are the younger version of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. People just love that! Others are very happy for Selena being with Justin because they have become a teen power couple in a way that a lot of people had hoped to see happen between her and Nick Jonas.

People are also very impressed to see the way the to support each other and their different work related projects. They also seem to have integrated their friends really well. They like to hang out with each other’s families and their friends and of course people can’t seem to get enough of them when they’re sitting at the front row of various award shows.

People also appreciate that they both seem to be equally into the other. They have great things to say about one another and it doesn’t seem to be a one-sided relationship.  Some people have even talked about what a great energy they seem to have together. They are very positive around each other and many think this is a couple that could go the distance.

UPDATE: Is Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Breaking Up?

Selena Gomez made everyone nervous when she had tweeted the other day a photo of a flower that included the caption “he loves me not.”  Everyone was concerned that this might be a sign that the two were not going to be together. She quickly cleared up the incident though and let everyone know that all is okay.
